Lucia Tait Tolani is a seasoned personal stylist who, in 2018, is making her first major foray into the world of interior decoration. She was encouraged to transition her business after numerous requests followed her home landing the cover of Elle Decoration Hong Kong. Lucia's focus is bringing a fashionable perspective and a creative confidence to residential homes. She simultaneously runs her private shopping events company, Pair. Founded in 2015, Pair was introduced as a by-invitation-only personal styling service.
After almost 13 years in New York City, Lucia relocated to Hong Kong in late 2013. She was immediately aware of both the local residents' enthusiasm for style and the city's lack of destination shopping and designer showrooms. Hong Kong was an environment ripe for Lucia's high-touch approach. Pair was created as a reaction to the feeling that there was not a dynamic, fun or efficient enough way for stylish locals to shop domestically. Most concepts and initiatives seemed to be created for shopping tourists or aimed exclusively at industry insiders. With the proliferation of e-commerce, both the inflation of local retail prices and the limited selections available in Hong Kong are challenged by Pair's events.
Lucia is a 2004 Fashion Institute of Technology magna cum laude grad with a BS in Advertising & Marketing Communications. She was previously co-director of her own private shopping company, Coup de Coeur Shopping Concierge, from 2007-2012, was the first personality for the Harper's Bazaar Personal Stylist program during 2009-2010, and was Moda Operandi's first senior stylist in 2013. She has been living in Hong Kong for almost five years, with her husband and son.
